Walsall Council has ambitious plans for the next decade and beyond. In this corporate leadership role, you will work alongside the Chief Executive, Executive Directors and other senior managers to support elected members and provide strong strategic leadership, vision and transformational change across the Borough to facilitate the Council’s ambition and enable quality services to be delivered for all stakeholders.
We would like to hear from qualified, experienced and confident leaders who can take responsibility for and put customers and outcomes at the heart of our legal and democratic services including elections and civic party support. You will ideally be an experienced statutory Monitoring Officer or a strong deputy, ready to take on the responsibility for the maintenance of an effective constitution.
The work base is Walsall; however, hybrid working offers working from other locations and from home.
Responsibilities:- Provide strong strategic leadership, vision and transformational change across the Borough to enable quality services for all stakeholders.
- Support elected members and work with Chief Executive, Executive Directors and other senior managers.
- Put customers and outcomes at the heart of legal and democratic services including elections and civic party support.
- Maintain an effective constitution, ideally as a statutory Monitoring Officer or as a strong deputy.
- Experience as a statutory Monitoring Officer or equivalent deputy with capability to maintain an effective constitution.
- Qualified, experienced and confident leader capable of operating at a senior corporate level.
The work base is Walsall with hybrid working options including other locations and home working.
