Walsall College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Law, Criminology and Psychology to join our Vocational Sixth Form team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging teaching that inspires students and supports them to achieve outstanding outcomes. You’ll design and deliver dynamic lessons, monitor student progress, and provide tailored support to help learners succeed in their assessments and future pathways. Alongside teaching, you will contribute to students’ personal development, wellbeing, and employability skills.

Walsall College takes part in the Targeted Retention Incentive (TRI) scheme, a Department for Education initiative that provides financial incentives of up to £6,000 to eligible further education (FE) teachers working in priority subject areas. Eligible teachers must be within the first five years of their FE teaching career and teach specific courses in areas such as construction, chemistry, computing and digital, early years, engineering and manufacturing, maths, and physics. Payments range from £2,000 to £6,000 depending on teaching hours and the provider’s profile, with higher amounts available for institutions serving greater proportions of disadvantaged learners. This post may be eligible for the Targeted Retention Incentive, subject to meeting the scheme’s eligibility criteria.
