We are currently recruiting for a dedicated qualified Electrician to join Walsall College as a Lecturer in Electrical who will deliver motivating and inspiring teaching and learning to unleash the potential of our students.
You will hold appropriate electrical qualifications and teaching qualifications are preferred i.e. DTLLS, Cert. Ed/PGCE, or equivalent. However, this role will also be an opportunity for a highly knowledgeable and experienced person working in industry to move into a Further Education and skills setting. Funded and supported Teacher training will be provided.
Experience in delivering Solar PV, EV charging and wiring regulations would be advantageous. Relevant industry experience would be highly beneficial and a relevant teaching qualification with funding options will be provided to support someone from industry in succeeding in a new to teaching role.

In this role you will deliver effective learning, teaching and assessment that provides a high-quality learner experience which is critical to their success. Working within teams delivering programmes of study within various curriculum areas ensuring that knowledge, skills and behaviours of learners enables them to be ready for employment or higher-level studies.
Walsall College take part in the Taking Teaching Further (TTF) programme which is a Department for Education initiative to attract experienced industry and business professionals into roles within further education. The Department for Education (DfE) is piloting a new financial incentive of a non-consolidated £6000.
