We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, professional and proactive Primary Business Support Manager to join our dedicated and welcoming school team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator or business support professional to play a central role in the smooth day-to-day running of the school. Working closely with the Headteacher, Trust Central Teams and wider school staff, the successful candidate will support the effective delivery of finance, administration, HR processes, health and safety and operational systems across the school.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, demonstrates initiative and professionalism, and is committed to supporting both the vision and Christian ethos of the school and Trust. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the school’s business support functions including finance administration, HR processes and operational systems.
- Managing finance administration tasks including orders and goods receipts, petty cash and credit card reconciliations, banking, school meals and other routine month-end processes in line with Trust procedures.
- Acting as a key point of contact for operational and administrative matters within school and liaising with Trust Central Teams.
- Supporting recruitment administration, induction processes, staff absence monitoring and maintaining the Single Central Record.
- Line managing administrative staff and supporting the development of efficient administrative systems and procedures.
- Coordinating health and safety procedures, acting as Fire Officer and supporting emergency evacuation and invacuation processes.
- Supporting school events, educational visits, lettings and wider operational activities.
- Ensuring school systems and processes operate in line with Trust policies, safeguarding requirements and statutory guidance.
- Attending relevant meetings and preparing administrative reports where required.
