Walmsley, part of Connells Group, is looking for an experienced and motivated Property Manager to join our Lettings team in Caversham.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Property Manager looking to take the next step in their career. You’ll manage a sizeable portfolio of properties while supporting the Lettings Manager with the coaching and mentoring of other Property Managers within the team.
Based in branch, you’ll work closely with landlords, tenants and internal teams to deliver a high standard of property management and customer service.

Your Role
As Property Manager, you’ll take responsibility for a sizeable portfolio of managed properties, ensuring properties and tenancies are managed effectively and in line with legislation and company standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of residential properties
- Acting as a key point of contact for landlords and tenants
- Carrying out property inspections and following up on any issues identified
- Managing repairs, maintenance and contractor activity
- Providing advice and guidance on tenancy matters and relevant legislation
- Supporting the Lettings Manager with coaching and mentoring other Property Managers
- Sharing knowledge and best practice across the team
- Managing more complex property management and tenancy queries
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure issues are resolved promptly
- Maintaining high levels of customer service and compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Property Manager or in a similar residential property management role
- Experience managing a portfolio of properties
- Good knowledge of residential lettings and tenancy processes
- Experience carrying out property inspections
- Confidence supporting, coaching and mentoring colleagues
- Strong communication, organisation and customer service skills
- A calm, solutions-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence. A pool car is available for inspections
