We are looking for a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment in Walmart facilities. The role involves using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand, digital, and power tools.
  • Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
  • Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
  • Complete all required training to safely operate equipment and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policies and environmental guidelines.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
  • Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
  • Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR report.
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or associate’s degree in A/C and Refrigeration.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Prior work experience with glycol and CO₂ systems.
