Position Summary…

What you\’ll do

  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Responsible for communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, for example store of the community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL/Profit & Loss statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses. Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes; develops action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training and mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates and developing qualified staff to meet staffing needs and company growth potential.
  • Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying goals, building accountability and measuring progress toward results, and adapting to opportunities for continuous learning.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values and ethics by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in everyday business practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00 plus differential where applicable, with additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure may apply based on location and external factors.

The annual information is subject to change. This position is located at the Primary Location listed above and may require travel or relocation as part of duties.
