Role SummaryFront End Checkout associates run our registers. They smile, greet and thank customers, ring up items, process payments, and keep a positive attitude. They are ready to help with customer questions and needs, and may need to stand for long periods.
What youâll doYou play a major role in how our customers feel when they leave the store. You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate a customer interacts with. Thatâs why itâs so important to smile, greet, and thank every customer. You are an ambassador of Walmart.
The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons. You may need to juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping customers: scan items, explain a price, bag items properly, count cash back, and keep your area clean.

Compensation & BenefitsThe actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
