This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty, working with committed colleagues and highly motivated students across French, German and Spanish. Applications will be considered for full‑time or 0.8 FTE.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Shape the strategic direction of languages across the school, leading curriculum development and driving high standards in teaching and learning.
- Lead and coach the MFL team, fostering a collaborative culture rooted in high expectations and continual improvement.
- Develop and monitor assessment practices and contribute to whole‑school priorities.
- Support professional growth across the faculty, ensuring excellent outcomes for students at all key stages.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Good Honours Degree, PGCE or QTS.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role.
- Ability to identify own professional development needs.
- Experience of successful teaching of Modern Foreign Languages across all Key Stages.
- Planning of lessons and schemes of work in line with examination syllabi.
- Evidence of raising student attainment in the subject.
- Assessment of students across all Key Stages.
- Contribution to extra‑curricular activities.
