We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our Marine Operations team to manage the financial and accounting process for vessel recurring and non-recurring expenditure on our fleet. The role will be responsible for collating, reporting, analysis, and governance around vessel expenditure in line with corporate procedures.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate vessel expenditure on a regular basis, focusing on trending and reduction opportunities.
- Production of month-end analysis and commentary for management reporting.
- Identification of financial drivers and key results.
- Produce 18-month forecasts on a quarterly basis.
- Drive annual budget cycle and analysis for management approval.
- Maintain financial control and reporting in line with group policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Vessels and Ship managers on results and trends to drive savings.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to discuss and implement cost-saving initiatives, supported by our technical team.
- Assist and facilitate advancement of reporting requirements to a digital platform.
- Champion a fleet equality approach to operations ensuring all vessels and Ship Management have the same requirements.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Experience managing a large organizational landscape finance function of multimillion dollar P&L.
- Graduate in accounting or finance related subject, CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification preferred or part qualified.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to develop creative and effective solutions to problems.
- Exceptional communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work across multiple departments, cultures, and stakeholder groups, English language written & oral to a high level.

- Collaborative team player with motivation and drive, ability to work alone & as part of a team, be accountable for own decisions and ability to accept change and look for opportunities to adapt our ways of working to enhance the company profitability, sustainability, and customer experience.
- An interest, awareness, or experience with shipping or technical activities is an advantage.
- Good level of IT skills, in particular MS Excel, Power BI & other finance systems an advantage (Unit 4 a particular advantage).
