Your mission
Wallbrook is seeking experienced researchers and/or case managers to join our Western Europe business intelligence team in London. Ideal candidates will have experience in investigative due diligence and political risk, and the position offered will vary based on the candidate’s prior experience in the industry. Candidates should have proven experience working in a fast-paced research environment, have excellent qualitative analytical skills, and a proven record of producing high quality research pieces for use in a commercial setting. Candidates should also display strong knowledge of Europe’s business and political environments, as well as displaying an innate sense of curiosity about international affairs, public policy and global markets more generally. Candidates with a working proficiency in French, Italian, Portuguese, German or Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.
Your profile
Key Responsibilities- Manage complex open source and human intelligence-led investigative assignments (these include pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks and other bespoke investigations).
- Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualised analysis of issues at hand.
- Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings.
- Prepare proposals for new business.
- Support the development of Wallbrook’s human source network in Western Europe.
- Once comfortable with Wallbrook’s house style and research methodologies, assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.
We require as a minimum these qualifications and experience:
- Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context.
- 2-5 years’ full-time post-graduate work experience working in the investigative or corporate intelligence industry.
- Demonstrate mastery of open source research tools such as LexisNexis, Factiva, as well as regional and language-specific databases and media sources.
- Experience planning and managing multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivery to client.
- A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
- Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
