We make debug tools that help Arm’s partners build extraordinary software on their embedded devices which power mobile, games, Android, Linux, Machine Learning, and enterprise applications. Debug tools play a vital part of the process of developing the silicon infrastructure powering the AI revolution.
We are looking for skilled and hardworking software engineers who are passionate about producing quality software to join our engineering teams.

Responsibilities
- As a Debugger Software Engineer, you will work in our Agile team on the development of our Java and C++ based tools.
- Working with a team of engineers, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from working with our technology Managers to clarify requirements through to design, development and deployment of new features.
- You will implement new features for our suite of debug tools, such as Arm Debugger within Development Studio and develop firmware for our DSTREAM family of high performance debug and trace probes.
Required Skills and Experience
- A good understanding and practical experience of Java and/or C++ programming.
- Strong abstract reasoning skills with an ability to focus on key concepts at all levels of detail.
- Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with scripting in Python and using the Linux command line.
- A high level of pro-activity and initiative.
Nice To Have Skills and Experience
- Experience with embedded software development.
- Use of embedded debug tools like Arm Development Studio or Keil MDK and associated JTAG or SWD debug probes.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Code.
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven.
- Test development using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins or Robot.
