An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join a well-established, high-performing manufacturing business based in South Down. This role will play a key part in driving asset reliability, improving plant performance, and supporting a proactive maintenance culture. Working across a multi-disciplinary environment, you will focus on optimising equipment efficiency while ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across operations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive reliability and asset performance across site through effective maintenance strategies
  • Support and enhance planned maintenance and asset care programmes
  • Analyse equipment performance, identify root causes, and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimise downtime and maximise uptime
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Manage contractors and ensure work is delivered safely and effectively
  • Track and report on KPIs, driving measurable improvements in reliability

Criteria

  • Third-level qualification in an engineering or related discipline
  • Strong experience within maintenance/reliability in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability in problem solving, fault finding, and continuous improvement
  • Experience working across mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across teams
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on performance and results
