We are working with a leading food manufacturing group to recruit for a Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering and maintenance operations across multiple production sites in Cavan and Fermanagh. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving maintenance excellence, improving site reliability, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Duties

  • Lead and develop multi-site maintenance teams, ensuring high performance and strong engagement.
  • Oversee all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure scheduling is effective, compliant, and aligned to production demands.
  • Manage reactive maintenance, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers.
  • Lead and support capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including planning, budgeting, installation, and commissioning.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and site performance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activity complies with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Use data and reporting tools to track KPIs, maintenance performance, and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions that support business objectives.

Criteria

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, or Senior Maintenance Lead within manufacturing, ideally FMCG or food.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance within a high-volume production environment.
  • Track record of implementing and managing PPM systems and driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing CapEx projects from planning through to commissioning.
  • Strong people management skills with experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and planning abilities.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and manage priorities effectively.
  • Relevant engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, or similar).
