A growing food manufacturing group is seeking an organised and proactive Engineering Coordinator to support its maintenance and engineering teams across sites in Cavan and Fermanagh. This role suits someone who enjoys keeping operations running smoothly through strong systems, tidy processes, and solid supplier management. You will be the central link between the maintenance teams, contractors, and purchasing activities, helping ensure parts, records, and workflows are always in good shape.
Duties
- Manage supplier queries, orders, pricing, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Set up, manage, and maintain the sites CMMS system.
- Raise and maintain purchase orders for the maintenance function using internal systems.
- Liaise with contractors regarding mobile plant servicing, breakdowns, and schedules.
- Maintain maintenance records including job cards, service logs, weekly checks, and reporting.
- Carry out general administrative tasks such as filing, document control, and communication support.
Criteria
- Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C or above including English and Maths.
- Previous experience in stock control or a similar coordination role (desirable).
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Excellent IT skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communicator with solid teamwork and negotiating skills.
Advantageous: experience in engineering or construction environments, supplier negotiation, or CMMS setup/use.
