We are currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor to join a highly regulated manufacturing organisation in the Newry and Mourne area. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving plant reliability, minimising downtime and ensuring maintenance activities meet strict quality, safety and regulatory standards. The role offers either continental shift patterns or a permanent night shift option.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and prioritise daily activities for a multi-disciplinary maintenance team (mechanical, electrical and electronic).
- Ensure all facilities, utilities and production equipment remain compliant with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance to maximise uptime and asset reliability.
- Drive high standards of workmanship, safety, documentation and audit readiness through the CMMS system.
- Plan maintenance activities in collaboration with production to minimise operational disruption.
- Manage permits, contractors, risk assessments and method statements for maintenance works.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, safety, quality and accountability across the team.
- Monitor KPIs including downtime, PM compliance and response times.
Criteria
- Trade-qualified in electrical, electronic, mechanical or a related discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC or Degree).
- Significant post-apprenticeship or post-graduate experience within an industrial or regulated manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience supervising or leading maintenance teams.
- Strong planning, coordination and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working with CMMS systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, continuous-improvement mindset with a strong focus on compliance and safety.
