Overview
Electrical Engineer with experience in industrial, medical, life sciences, or healthcare sectors.
Based on-site at our Southampton service centre with field visits to hospital customers and mobile medical units in the South.
Full training and development are provided.
Location & Travel
Location: Southampton (50% on-site with field visits, local and national). 2 days per week will be spent travelling.
Commutable locations include Portsmouth, Salisbury, Winchester, Fareham, Bournemouth, Ringwood, Basingstoke, Petersfield.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair and servicing of electrical systems within mobile medical and modular units.
- Provide inspections, testing and repairs on electrical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently to minimise equipment downtime.
- Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota (1 week in every 4), providing emergency support when required.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Engage in comprehensive training and development programs.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
- 2391 inspection and testing or equivalent.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, servicing and fault finding.
- Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance in site-based or field-based roles.
- Healthcare exposure (NHS or private hospitals) preferred.
