A global player and manufacturer in the fasteners industry is currently looking for a commercial and progressive Procurement Manager, ideally with experience in the automotive industry to spearhead, modernise and invigorate the purchasing function of an established growing business.
BASIC SALARY: £70,000 – £90,000 depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION : Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Buying Manager, Category Manager – manufacturer, fasteners, automotive
The primary focus of this Procurement Manager role is to implement and manage a new procurement strategy for the UK business.
Key elements of the role will be to:
· Develop and oversee 4 existing purchasing staff across this global business
· Manage all direct and indirect procurement for the business
· Oversee a total UK spend of circa £75-£150 million
· Review and implement new SLAs for the business and is suppliers and KPI’s for the staff
· Assess how to get best value out of the current procurement relationships (100-150) and where needed, increase/rationalise supplier portfolio
This is a genuine opportunity to have input into changing a procurement platform in a large and established business and will require a candidate who is strong willed and confident in their approach with experience in similar change and growth.

Ideally, you will be a qualified procurement specialist holding either CIPs / MCIPs or the equivalent and have some direct working experience in the automotive industry. Now you could be looking for the next step in your procurement career and would be excited by the prospect of joining a business that is looking to significantly improve its turnover and profitability in the next 5 years.
You will be strong willed and driven, have a hands-on approach and be prepared to listen and be circumspect, but also be happy to make hard decisions and shoulder the consequences.
For this exciting Procurement Manager position we would:
· Be delighted to receive applications from qualified Procurement Managers with experience of managing a team of Purchasers who look after a combined budget of £150million+
