Job Description: Field Service Engineer – Gluing Systems. This role will require you to cover North of England, Scotland and occasionally Ireland and is a classic Field Service Engineer role reporting to the Customer Care Manager, involving repair, refurbishment, install and commissioning of machinery. You will be staying away from home, 2 days per week on average, with very occasional weekend work and overtime paid door to door.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out field installations, preventative maintenance, equipment health checks and repairs across the broad range of our products.
- Investigate, diagnose, and rectify any customer equipment faults in a timely manner.
- Ensure continual accuracy of data entered into the service management system.
- Identify opportunities for minor repairs and highlight these to the clients as recommendations.
- Provide technical support and operator training.
- Be able to provide feedback so that you can maintain good customer relations and improve product design.
- Raise complaints where necessary and feedback sales opportunities.
Person Specification:
- You will be a qualified and experienced Field Service Engineer.
- Any knowledge of gluing systems would be of interest.
- Ideally, you will have knowledge of the packaging industry, particularly corrugated or folded cartons.
- Ideally, time served or qualified to a minimum of ONC level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Calm under pressure.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, entrepreneurial and excellent team player skills.
