Based from home with a fully kitted van and covering Birmingham, the South West, and down to Exeter. You will focus primarily on servicing and maintaining water treatment equipment for a growing and reputable UK business.
BASIC SALARY: £36,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience, with potential increases as training is completed)

LOCATION: Home-based covering Birmingham, the South West, and Exeter area. Overnight stays required for jobs over two hours' travel each way.
JOB DESCRIPTION: As our Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a variety of water purification equipment, including reverse osmosis systems, de-ionisers, water softeners, filtration systems, UV filtration units, pumps, chemicals, and consumables. You will spend your days supporting our customers, managing your own workload, and representing us to a high standard. While most of your work will be planned maintenance (around 80%), there will also be occasional reactive service work.
As our Water Engineer you will:
- Work independently on a range of customer sites, providing excellent technical support and customer service
- Manage your van stock and associated administrative duties via our Flowlens software
- Help to maintain compliance with ISO 9001, health & safety, and company standards
- Occasionally overnight stays when required
PERSON SPECIFICATION: We are seeking an Engineer with a strong background in water treatment or commercial plumbing. You should be self-motivated, highly organised, and have a keen attention to detail. It would be beneficial if you have experience working with any of the following: reverse osmosis, de-ionisers, water softeners, UV filtration systems, pumps, and associated chemicals, but full training will be provided.
You will also:
- Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Have strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Be comfortable working alone in time-sensitive situations
- Be committed to safe working practices
- Hold a full UK manual driving licence
- Ideally have engineering-related qualifications (City & Guilds or similar)
