You\’ll become an expert in our sector (primarily oral solid dosage equipment) learning about our machines, their components, safety valves and control systems etc. JOB DESCRIPTION: Commissioning Engineer, Service Engineering – Instrumentation, Controls, Automation, Pharmaceutical, Machinery As our Commissioning Engineer, you will be project based, start-up, commissioning, validating and calibrating high-specification capital equipment as well as many other interesting tasks in the pharmaceutical sector. You must be a problem solver and a team player with an open mind and attitude who will relish the challenges related to integrating machinery into a customer\’s production line. We primarily use Siemens S7 & WAGO. This role requires you to travel to customer sites and you may be away circa 60% of the year. Your work will be predominately on pharmaceutical sites or similar in the UK and ROI, but occasionally you may be asked to support in Central Europe or further afield too. When you are not on customer sites you will be a combination of office / home based providing customer technical support and attend to other interesting engineering tasks. Occasionally in Central Europe too · After sales and technical support tasks. · You may or could be working or staying away circa 60% of the time – coming home on weekends PERSON SPECIFICATION: Commissioning Engineer, Service Engineering – Instrumentation, Controls, Automation, Pharmaceutical, Machinery · You\’re an experienced, Multi skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with exposure to controls, PLC\’s, instrumentation and mechatronics. You don\’t need to programme from scratch, but you may need to fault find and modify code at times. · You\’ve got a proven track record as a Commissioning Engineer or similar – working on capital equipment across (most probably) pharmaceutical, food, distillation, chemical industries etc · You might be a Service Engineer, a static Maintenance Engineer or an Electrician who\’s ready to step up and wants the travel, variety of work and a role with potential to grow in the pharmaceutical industry. · Staying away on a job and away from home if needed won\’t be a problem for you – it\’s just part of your job. Ideally you be qualified in Electrical engineering ONC / HNC / HND / B.Eng or equivalent.
