A great opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join this small but ambitious British manufacturer and supplier of coding & marking solutions. We want someone with experience of selling end of line packaging machinery, forklift trucks, racking & shelving or similar products - but what is most important is a track record of success selling into the end of line, warehouse & logistics sectors.
BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000
BENEFITS:
- Commission and Annual Bonus to earn circa £80,000 OTE

LOCATION: Home / Office based depending on home location covering the Midlands & Northern England and ideally living within 1 hour of Northampton.
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Peterborough, Nottingham, Northampton, Coventry, Leicester, Birmingham, Leeds
This is a Business Development Manager role, covering Northern England & the Midlands with a 90% business development, 10% account management split selling the company's large range of coding & marking solutions including CIJ, Large Character, Hot Stamp, Print and Apply labelling and TTOP based systems to the industrial & manufacturing sectors targeting the end of line, warehouse & logistics sectors. You will have a very realistic target on both hardware sales turnover and margin. Full internal sales, marketing and technical support will be offered.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- You MUST have a proven track record in field sales of capital equipment (ideally with order value of £4,000 to £20,000) sold into end of line, warehouse & logistics sectors.
- Any specific experience end of line solutions, forklift trucks or racking & shelving solutions would be advantageous.
- You MUST have experience of creating sales opportunities and should not be dependant on customer led requirements.
- You MUST be willing and able to do, and have a proven track record in, business development.
- You will ideally have experience of selling leasing packages and leading with them.
- You will have a comprehensive knowledge of the full sales cycle.
- Ideally, you will have an engineering or technical background & will also have an understanding of SaaS sales.
