BASIC SALARY:
£55,000 – £60,000 – dependant on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Setting Out Engineer – Civil Engineering, Surveying, Groundworks
As our Setting Out Engineer you will be:
- Setting out and surveying works on site
- Working closely with the Site Manager and wider construction team
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, RFIs and other project documentation
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved procedures
- Checking levels, dimensions and quality of completed works
- Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation
- Assisting with technical queries and resolving site issues
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and project management teams
- Monitoring construction activities and ensuring they are completed to the required standards
- Providing technical support and guidance to site teams
- Identifying potential issues and assisting with practical solutions
- Ensuring health, safety and quality requirements are maintained throughout the works
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting Out Engineer – Civil Engineering, Surveying, Groundworks
As our Setting Out Engineer, you will be:
- Working on infrastructure, commercial and residential groundwork across main contractors, developers and major house builders
- Completing site surveys and essential site preparation
- Working on multiple projects across the Home Counties and Northamptonshire
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Setting Out Engineer – Civil Engineering, Surveying, Groundworks
To be successful in your application, you must :
- Have a proven track record as a Setting Out Engineer within the civils market
- Preferably have residential / housing experience
- Be able to use AUTOCAD and read technical drawings from architects
- Be either on the books or self employed, would consider both (ideally on the books)
- You will hold a BTEC or Level 3 qualification in civil engineering or surveying, but we welcome applicants who have a HNC, HND or Degree in civil engineering or surveying
- You will need a full clean driving license
