Position Summary
The Middleweight Graphic Designer plays a key role in developing high-quality visual content across digital learning, marketing, and communications. This position focuses on designing engaging eLearning and classroom materials while ensuring alignment with brand standards and learning design principles.
The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs), as well as the ability to contribute creatively while maintaining consistency and quality across all outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Content Development
- Develop eLearning and classroom materials aligned with internal standards and guidelines
- Design assets for social media, web, and other communication channels
- Ensure all visual outputs meet brand guidelines and maintain high-quality standards
- Project Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate project timelines and delivery expectations with stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with team members on creative concepts and process improvements
- Contribute to team discussions and help evolve design workflows
- Quality Assurance & Review
- Support the Design Team Lead in reviewing content to ensure consistency and adherence to learning design principles
- Review SME audio recordings for quality and recommend improvements where needed
- Maintain visual and instructional quality across all design outputs
- Team Support & Development
- Provide feedback and guidance to Junior Designers to support their growth and development
- Share knowledge, best practices, and design insights with the broader team
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices
- Incorporate AI tools into the design process to enhance productivity and creativity
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability in design workflows
Required Skills
- Strong portfolio demonstrating core design principles
- Excellent working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint)
- Adobe Creative Suite (particularly After Effects and Premiere Pro)
- Understanding of digital multimedia formats and publishing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Highly self-motivated with creative and innovative thinking
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to integrate AI tools into workflows (with examples of usage preferred)
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design (agency or in-house)
Preferred / Desirable Skills
- Experience designing digital learning content
- Familiarity with Articulate 360 or similar eLearning tools
- Video production experience
- Experience with tools such as Camtasia, Audition, or similar
Work Environment
