WSO is expanding its Quantitative Finance track and is looking for experienced professionals to mentor students targeting careers in quant research, systematic trading, and quantitative investing.
What You’ll Do
- 1-on-1 Coaching: Guide students preparing for quantitative research and trading roles (hedge funds, prop firms, systematic funds)
- Recruiting Insight: Share perspective on navigating quant interviews, brainteasers, case studies, and coding assessments
- Mentorship with Purpose: Help high-potential students translate strong math skills into real-world quant careers
- Modeling & Strategy Discussions (Optional): Provide high-level feedback on trading strategies, backtesting approaches, and research methodology
Who We’re Looking For
- Professionals with experience in Quantitative Research, Systematic Trading, or Quantitative Hedge Funds
- Background in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or quantitative finance
- Strong technical foundation (probability, statistics, programming)
- Clear communicators who can simplify complex quantitative concepts
- Detail-oriented and consistent in providing thoughtful feedback
- Experience at hedge funds, prop trading firms, systematic asset managers, or quant-focused teams within banks is preferred.
