It’s an exciting time to join Walking Scotland. Nearly a year on from the launch of our new name and brand, and as we approach our 30th anniversary, we’re stepping confidently into a bold new chapter. Walking Scotland is a charity that helps make walking and wheeling a part of everyday life. We promote the benefits of walking and wheeling on our physical, social and mental health. Our programmes connect communities and inspire positive behaviour change. We also improve places and spaces to walk and wheel. We’re an advocate for making walking and wheeling inclusive. We work with partners and local communities to reduce barriers. This ensures everyone has the chance to walk and wheel everywhere they go. By focusing on walking and wheeling, we’re helping to solve some of Scotland’s biggest challenges, from health inequalities to the climate-nature emergency.

As our Digital and Content Manager, you’ll lead and shape our digital presence and work. You’ll develop strategies, manage campaigns and build relationships that help us reach more people online. You’ll work closely with a passionate team to create accessible, insight-led content, while collaborating with partners and the public to make walking and wheeling part of everyday life across Scotland. In addition, you will oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of Walking Scotland’s digital content, social media presence and digital platforms. The role also has a key strategic function, supporting the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in developing and delivering our digital strategy and ensuring the charity is digitally resilient, sustainable and ready for the future.
