The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

To work as part of a team delivering legal services to a high standard and often under pressure. To assist the lawyers in the department in running their practices. Paralegals will not give legal advice to clients but are expected to assist the lawyers in the department in providing all forms of legal services for clients of the Firm.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • To prepare first drafts of documents including initial and amended and restated memorandum and articles of association; board minutes and directors resolutions; shareholder resolutions; structured finance transaction documentation (including declarations of trust and corporate services agreements); legal opinions; share certificates; entries for registers of mortgages and charges.
  • To review first drafts of transaction documents and alert the relevant lawyers to pertinent issues arising.
  • To arrange for all necessary filings of special resolutions, ordinary resolutions, amended and restated memorandum and articles of association, changes of directors and officers and similar matters as and when required.
  • To implement and maintain the billing and collections system for relevant matters, including drafting initial quotations and invoice narratives, preparing bills and chasing unpaid invoices.
  • To maintain accurate records and correspondence files in relation to client files.
  • To conduct searches of CORIS and the court search database.
  • To carry out conflict searches.
  • To maintain personal knowledge and expertise on the legislative and specialist aspects relevant to the job, to undertake personal training and development activities as required including attendance at continuing Attorney Training Sessions and to pass on new knowledge and information effectively to colleagues.
  • To liaise with clients as appropriate and in accordance with instructions from relevant lawyers.
  • To participate in special projects as and when required in relation to the Firm's and the department's practice areas.
  • To conduct legal research in accordance with instructions from relevant lawyers.
  • To carry out any other duties commensurate with the purpose of the job, including the performance of duties outside normal working hours.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Work independently and as a team member.
  • Manage a complex and demanding workload and prioritise tasks and projects to meet work standards and personal performance targets.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively legal matters both verbally and in writing, with people at all levels of understanding. This will include high quality correspondence.
  • Use and update computerised systems, including the intranet, databases, word processors, and spreadsheets, and influence the development of IT systems.
  • Participate in continuously improving services through critically evaluating systems of work, promoting new ideas and actively developing service improvements.
  • Work in a flexible manner and respond to changing circumstances and emergency situations.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work outside normal working hours/days when requested.
