Overview of role

Office: London (Hybrid: Please be advised this role requires you to be in the office for 2 days a week.) The Information Security Team aspires to be a market leader. The team has a truly global mandate, accountable for managing the information security for ten offices across the globe, covering all security domains including Security Operations, GRC, Identity, and third-party security.

The Security Specialist – Supplier Assurance role plays a critical part in supplier assurance and client due diligence. The key purpose is to maintain the Firm's ISO27001 certification from a Supplier Assurance perspective. Reporting into the Senior Security Manager, they will help embed the Supplier Assurance Security Model and provide reassurance and excellent service to our clients in due diligence processes. They are expected to continuously improve their own knowledge and skills within the Supplier Assurance space to enhance the Firm's overall capability in this area.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • Assisting the Senior Manager to produce, embed, and champion the Supplier Assurance Security Model.
  • Producing management information for the CISO, including trends, process gaps, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Managing client requests in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex requests to the Senior Manager.
  • Arranging and participating in Supplier Assurance governance forums.
  • Maintaining the Third-Party Security Schedule (including supplier negotiations).
  • Providing excellent service to our clients through our interactions and responses to due diligence questionnaires. Escalating complex questionnaires to the Senior Manager.
  • Editing and negotiating straightforward security clauses in contracts for robustness.
  • Providing evidence for audits and ISO 27001 certification from a Supplier Assurance perspective.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Solid experience in an Information Security Supplier Assurance role.
  • Previous experience from medium to large legal or financial services organisations.
  • Proven understanding of all information security domains.
  • Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 are desirable.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
