Overview of Role
Our Pupillage Programme is a comprehensive, structured training programme for qualified Bermudians and PRC holders. Work‑based learning is a critical element for trainee lawyers. The programme will provide you with the solid foundation needed for a successful career in law, emphasizing training, development, and support. Through a carefully designed and fully rounded training process, you will gain exposure to a wide range of legal disciplines while receiving closely supervised, practical training.
What You’ll Do
As a pupil, you immediately become part of our global team. You will be actively engaged in industry‑leading transactions, collaborating with colleagues from various offices and specialised practice areas. Over 12 months you will learn from established experts as you rotate throughout the business, working on a broad range of legal matters in our Corporate, Finance, Funds, FinTech, Insurance, Insolvency, Dispute Resolution, and Regulatory practices. Partners, senior counsel, and associates with breadth of experience in these areas will help you enhance skills and further develop your legal understanding. You will have a dedicated supervisor and a partner mentor throughout the programme.
Who We’re Looking For
Are you a Bermudian or PRC holder with a law degree and a demonstrated record of academic achievement who is commercially aware, committed to a career in law at Walkers, and will embrace our high‑achieving, inclusive, and supportive culture? If so, we would like to hear from you. Pupillage contracts are offered to qualified Bermudians or PRC holders with consistent outstanding academic achievements, including a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent) Bachelors of Law or Graduate/Postgraduate Diploma in Law from a Commonwealth institution and at least a Pass grade in the Solicitors Qualification Exam, the Legal Practice Course, or the Bar Practice Course.

- A letter from Immigration acknowledging your right to be Bermudian or the continuation of your right to be Bermudian
- A Grant of Bermudian Status certificate from Immigration
