We are now looking for a motivated and experienced Route Planner, Supervisor to join our Midlands depot team and lead our night operations.

Role Description
The Night Transport Planning Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Lichfield. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee night transport operations to ensure timely and cost-effective scheduling of deliveries.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating operational plans and route planning around 15 vehicles per evening with routes in the local DE and WS area, between Vans, Rigids, and Artics.
- Managing resources, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintaining clear communication with drivers and external stakeholders to meet customer needs and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Planning capabilities to develop effective transportation schedules and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience in Delivery Route Planning, to oversee resources and ensure seamless workflows.
- Excellent Communication skills to liaise with drivers, teams, customers, and other stakeholders effectively.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and compliance standards.
- Understanding of transport industry software and knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to logistics and freight.
- Ability to work night shifts and independently manage time-sensitive operations.
- Previous experience in logistics, transport planning, or a similar role is desirable.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
