We have an exciting opportunity to join our Shortbread Shop team as a Shop Assistant. This role is the face of the Walker's Brand, welcoming customers into our stores to purchase 'Scotland at its Finest'. This is a part-time permanent position, ideal for an individual who has experience in a similar role or is looking for their first step into retail, with a passion for delivering high-quality customer service.

Working Saturdays in the Shortbread Shop, 9am-3pm, until 19th December 2026. From 9th January 2027, working Saturdays in High Street Shop, 9am-5pm, on a lone-working basis until 1st May 2027. After this, the role returns to the Shortbread Shop. Minimum 6 hours per week available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serving customers in a polite and friendly manner
  • Maintain stock of products and arrange displays
  • Compile orders for customers and colleagues where applicable
  • Maintain high standards of the premises, including the store and office
  • Money handling
  • Maintain high standard of cleaning the store
