A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make: As a Machine Operative, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining our moulding line machinery, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. From monitoring production performance and carrying out quality checks to maintaining accurate production records and identifying improvements, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every product leaving the line meets our exacting standards while supporting the smooth running of the factory.

What You'll Do:

  • Set up, operate and monitor moulding line machinery to produce chocolate products safely, efficiently and to specification.
  • Carry out routine quality checks, process monitoring and production documentation, ensuring accurate records are maintained throughout each shift.
  • Monitor production performance, reporting downtime, manufacturing issues and quality concerns promptly to the Line Supervisor or Shift Manager.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, GMP, housekeeping and Health & Safety compliance at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Quality and Shift teams to maximise efficiency, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.

About You: We're looking for a reliable, proactive individual who enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment and is committed to producing quality products. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience operating machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic maths skills and the ability to complete production documentation accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow product specifications.
  • The ability to work independently using your own initiative while contributing positively to the wider team.
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety, quality and food safety standards.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience operating machinery within a food manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP and/or Food Safety qualifications.
