For my client – an outstanding SME contractor with an excellent local reputation. Are you a Site Manager looking to work for a business where quality, trust, and professionalism genuinely matter? I’m recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded SME construction contractor based in the Bristol area, known for delivering well-run new build and refurbishment projects across commercial and mixed-use sectors. This is a company that wins work through reputation and repeat clients, not volume. They run sensible programmes, support their site teams properly, and take real pride in what they deliver.
The Role
As Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction projects from start through to completion, typically valued up to £5 million. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality. Working closely with project managers and the wider delivery team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the contractor’s strong client relationships and site performance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing new build and refurbishment projects
- Strong knowledge of site operations, health & safety, and quality control
- Confident leading subcontractors and direct labour on site
- Able to work collaboratively with commercial and project teams
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualified
- Based in or commutable to the Bristol area
What’s on Offer
- Salary up to £60,000 (DOE)
- Competitive benefits package
- Long-term role within a stable, growing SME
- Supportive leadership team and realistic workloads
- Opportunity to work on varied, well-procured projects
If you’re a Site Manager looking for a long-term move with a contractor that values its people and delivers work properly, I’d welcome a confidential discussion. I’m shortlisting now - early interest is encouraged.
