Quantity Surveyor Location: Bristol Sector: Construction & Refurbishment Salary: Up to £45,000 + Package The Opportunity A well-established regional contractor is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in Bristol. Working on schemes across the education, healthcare, commercial, heritage and public sectors, you'll be given the autonomy to manage projects from inception through to final account while being supported by an experienced commercial leadership team. Role Overview You will be responsible for: * Managing the commercial aspects of multiple refurbishment and construction projects * Producing and maintaining monthly CVRs, cost reports and commercial forecasts * Procuring subcontractors and preparing subcontract packages * Negotiating subcontractor terms and managing subcontract accounts * Preparing applications for payment and interim valuations * Valuing and agreeing project variations * Managing project budgets and maintaining cost control throughout delivery * Producing and agreeing final accounts * Administering JCT contracts and ensuring contractual compliance * Identifying commercial risks and opportunities to maximise profitability * Working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers throughout project delivery * Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners About You * Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a main contractor * Experience delivering refurbishment or construction projects * Strong understanding of CVRs, forecasting and commercial reporting * Knowledge of subcontract procurement and contract administration * Experience managing variations and final accounts * Good understanding of JCT contracts * Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills * Strong communication and organisational abilities * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline * Full UK driving licence Company Profile This respected regional contractor has been delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the South West for decades.
