We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a well‑established housing organisation delivering supported housing and community services in Plymouth. This is an opportunity to use your trade skills in a meaningful way, helping to create safe, welcoming and comfortable living environments for vulnerable individuals.
The Role
- Carry out planned painting and decorating works across residential and supported housing properties, ensuring high standards of finish and compliance with maintenance schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete painting and decorating tasks in line with planned works programmes.
- Prepare surfaces including cleaning, sanding and priming.
- Apply paint, varnish and finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail.
- Work safely and in accordance with health & safety regulations.
- Conduct works in occupied properties with professionalism and respect.
About You
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
- Strong understanding of painting techniques, materials and preparation methods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
