We are seeking an experienced Planned Maintenance Surveyor to join a well-established housing organisation operating across Dorset. This is a key role responsible for delivering planned maintenance programmes, with a particular focus on roofing works and contract management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing planned maintenance programmes across a residential housing portfolio
  • Producing scopes of work, schedules, and technical specifications
  • Contract administration, cost control, and performance monitoring
  • Carrying out site inspections and surveys to assess condition and lifecycle needs
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, building regulations, and organisational standards
  • Liaising with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Managing customer expectations and resolving technical issues professionally

About You

  • HNC (or equivalent) in a construction, building surveying, or related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in planned maintenance within housing or a similar environment
  • Proven experience managing planned maintenance programmes, with strong emphasis on roofing contract management
  • Sound knowledge of building construction, roofing systems, and maintenance best practice
  • Experience administering contracts and managing contractor performance
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel across Dorset)
