This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning residential developer delivering large, design-led schemes across the South East. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take commercial responsibility for multi-phase housing sites, leading procurement, financial control and subcontract management. You’ll work as part of a highly motivated commercial team, supporting junior QS staff while working closely with operations, technical and land teams to drive commercial performance across major developments.
Role Overview
- Taking full commercial ownership of multi-plot residential projects.
- Preparing budgets, measurements and cost plans.
- Subcontract procurement, negotiation and awarding of packages.
- Managing valuations, variations, forecasts and monthly reporting.
- Final accounts and contract compliance under house building frameworks.
- Monitoring commercial risks, supply chain performance and build costs.
- Supporting junior QS/Assistant QS development and training.
- Liaising with site teams, consultants, partners and suppliers.
About You
- Strong experience as a QS or SQS with a house builder or residential contractor.
- Confident in managing commercial delivery on multi-phase housing schemes.
- Excellent procurement, negotiation, cost control and reporting skills.
- Good understanding of subcontract markets and build processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management ability.
- Able to mentor junior commercial staff and support team development.
- Full UK driving licence.
