Operations Manager Opportunity – Specialist Construction SME | Bristol, South West Exciting Leadership Role in Construction Operations Our dynamic client, a renowned SME building contractor specialising in high-end refurbishment and fit-out construction projects, is seeking an exceptional Operations Manager to drive their operational excellence and business growth. Role Specification The successful candidate will be a strategic operational leader responsible for managing and optimising the company's project delivery, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety across complex construction projects throughout the South West region. Key Responsibilities Operational leadership will encompass comprehensive project coordination, resource management, and team performance optimization. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing project workflows, implementing robust operational processes, and delivering exceptional client outcomes across diverse refurbishment and fit-out construction initiatives. You will be pivotal in balancing operational efficiency with financial performance, managing project budgets, and ensuring seamless communication between site teams, clients, and senior management. Professional Requirements We are seeking an experienced operations professional with a minimum of ten years' experience in construction project management or similar operational leadership roles. A degree in Construction Management, Building Engineering, or a related field is preferred, complemented by strong commercial acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and proven ability to manage complex operational environments. CITB or CSCS qualifications will be viewed as a significant advantage. Technical Competencies The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced proficiency in construction management software, health and safety compliance, and operational planning. Excellent knowledge of current construction regulations, quality management systems, and lean operational methodologies will be crucial to success in this role.
