The Opportunity
A rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing internal construction team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, industrial and commercial sectors. This role offers the chance to provide senior commercial leadership across multiple concurrent developments, including new builds, extensions, refurbishments, fit-outs and associated infrastructure works. Acting as a trusted commercial partner to senior stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, commercially and in line with long-term business objectives.
Role Overview
- Leading commercial strategy across multiple live projects.
- Providing commercial advice and support to senior stakeholders.
- Managing procurement strategy and contract selection.
- Preparing, reviewing and maintaining project budgets and cost plans.
- Managing valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Negotiating contracts, supplier agreements and commercial terms.
- Monitoring project costs, risks and financial performance.
- Producing senior-level cost, risk and value reporting.
- Supporting capital investment planning and future development projects.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and construction governance requirements.
About You
- Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
- Strong background managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent commercial, contractual and procurement knowledge.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced understanding of cost control, forecasting and risk management.
- Experience administering and negotiating JCT contracts.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between projects.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
