A senior commercial leadership opportunity for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established residential main contractor delivering large-scale housing schemes across the South West. This role offers genuine influence over commercial strategy, team leadership and project performance within a business with a strong pipeline and long-term frameworks.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading commercial delivery across multiple residential projects.
- Managing and mentoring Senior QS, QS and Assistant QS staff.
- Overseeing budgets, forecasts, CVRs and commercial reporting.
- Driving procurement strategy and subcontractor negotiations.
- Managing risk, variations, claims and final accounts.
- Ensuring commercial compliance with contracts and governance.
- Working closely with senior operational and regional leadership.
- Supporting business planning and future project mobilisation.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Managing QS or Senior QS ready to step up.
- Strong background in residential main contracting or housebuilding.
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge (JCT).
