For my client - a well-established, highly regarded regional construction contractor based in Bristol. Are you a driven Site Manager with a strong background in refurbishment and extension projects? Do you enjoy working on technically involved schemes where organisation, leadership, and attention to detail really matter? I'm working with a respected regional contractor to recruit a Site Manager for a refurbishment and extension project in Cardiff. This business has a strong pipeline of work across the South West and Wales and is known for its hands-on leadership, quality delivery, and supportive culture.

The Role

  • Day-to-day management of site operations
  • Managing subcontractors, trades, and suppliers
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times
  • Maintaining programme and driving productivity on site
  • Quality control and coordination of works
  • Liaising with the project team, client representatives, and consultants
  • Managing site records, reporting, and snagging through to completion

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment and/or extension projects
  • Background working for a main contractor
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and site procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple trades in live or constrained environments
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
