Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding regional construction contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator to support the delivery of major construction projects across the South West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor delivering large, complex schemes up to £100m, playing a key role in shaping successful bids and securing future work.
The Role
As Senior Estimator, you will take a leading role within the pre-construction team, preparing competitive and accurate tenders for major construction projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing cost plans and detailed tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
- Engaging with the supply chain to obtain competitive pricing
- Identifying risks, opportunities and value engineering options
- Supporting bid strategy and tender presentations
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or experienced Estimator
- Background working for a main contractor
- Experience pricing large construction projects
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
