We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our thriving Construction Division, taking over a warm, well-established desk with live vacancies, existing client relationships, and immediate earning potential from day one.
Why Walker & Sloan?
We’ve created a modern recruitment consultancy where consultants are trusted to build meaningful client relationships, become genuine market experts, and enjoy the freedom to recruit properly. The Role
As Recruitment Consultant, you’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle while developing relationships with clients and candidates across the construction sector. Working from an established desk with active vacancies and existing business, you’ll focus on building long-term partnerships, delivering exceptional service, and continuing to grow an already successful market.
Your Responsibilities:

- Building long-term relationships with clients and candidates
- Managing the full 360° recruitment process from vacancy qualification through to placement

About You
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys recruitment. You’ll already have recruitment experience and be looking for a business where you can continue developing your career without the corporate politics or unnecessary bureaucracy. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous recruitment experience (360° or delivery)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive, ambitious, and professional attitude
- A genuine desire to learn and develop within the construction recruitment sector
- A team-first mentality with high personal standards
Construction recruitment experience would be advantageous but is by no means essential - we’re far more interested in attitude, ambition, and a willingness to learn.
What’s on Offer?
- Competitive basic salary
- Uncapped commission structure
- Warm construction desk with live vacancies and established clients
- Outstanding mentoring and ongoing professional development
- Hybrid working
- Genuine career progression opportunities
- Modern offices in-between Bristol & Bath
- B Corp Certified business with a genuine people-first culture
- Team incentives, regular socials, and a business that’s continually investing in its people
This isn’t an opportunity to inherit a cold desk and spend months finding your feet. It’s a chance to join one of the busiest areas of our business, learn from experienced recruiters, work with an exceptional client base, and build a long-term career within a company that’s genuinely invested in your success.
