An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Design Manager to join a specialist contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre project in West London. The development includes multiple data halls, high-voltage and medium-voltage energy centres, backup generation and extensive supporting infrastructure. It offers the chance to gain valuable experience on a technically complex scheme while working alongside an experienced design and construction team. This role would suit someone who has already gained some exposure to design coordination and is now looking to build a long-term career in design management.
Role Overview
You will support the management and coordination of design information from project development through construction and handover. Working closely with the Design Manager, consultants, subcontractors and project teams, you will monitor design progress, assist with technical submissions and help ensure information is issued in line with programme requirements. The role will also involve supporting design reviews, managing RFIs and approvals, assisting with design changes during construction and helping coordinate as-built information.
