Salary: £42,000-£43,000 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Are you a qualified Asbestos Surveyor looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Asbestos team, helping to maintain safe, compliant, and high-quality homes across Somerset and Wiltshire.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Asbestos management surveys, re-inspection surveys, and refurbishment & demolition surveys on general needs housing stock.
  • Accurately recording survey data using a handheld device and producing clear, detailed reports for internal teams.
  • Identifying any repairs or remedial works required and liaising closely with our internal planned and reactive maintenance teams, as well as our asbestos removal contractors.

About You

  • A P402 qualification (essential).
  • At least 6 months’ experience as a lead asbestos surveyor, ideally within domestic or social housing environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues and external contractors.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data recording, and confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and asset registers.
  • A full UK manual driving licence – a company vehicle will be provided as part of your role.

Experience within a housing association or social housing environment would be an advantage, but it’s not essential.
