A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of projects across Brighton, the South Coast and the surrounding region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to lead projects on behalf of a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients. Working across sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, industrial and mixed-use developments, you'll oversee projects from initial feasibility through to successful completion, providing strategic advice and ensuring exceptional client service throughout.

The role offers genuine autonomy, significant client exposure and clear opportunities for career progression within an established and growing consultancy.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading projects from inception through to completion on behalf of clients
  • Acting as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and external stakeholders
  • Developing project programmes, delivery strategies and governance procedures
  • Advising clients on procurement routes and project delivery methods
  • Managing tender processes and contractor appointments
  • Administering JCT contracts, with NEC experience advantageous
  • Monitoring project budgets, programmes and commercial performance
  • Managing project risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
  • Chairing client, design team and progress meetings
  • Preparing regular project reports and presenting updates to clients
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Mentoring Assistant Project Managers and supporting junior team members
  • Building long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business
About You

Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within a construction consultancy. Proven experience delivering projects across a variety of construction sectors. Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills. Excellent understanding of project governance, procurement and contract administration. Knowledge of JCT contracts, with NEC experience beneficial. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills. Degree qualified in Construction Project Management or a related discipline. MAPM, MRICS or another relevant professional qualification would be advantageous. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South Coast.
