📐 Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – South West (SME Contractor)

💷 Up to £65,000 + Package

Walker & Sloan are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected SME contractor with a proud history of delivering high-quality construction projects across the South West. Known for their flexibility, client focus, and family-feel culture, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing team.

This dual role will give you the opportunity to work across both pre-construction and commercial delivery, making it a fantastic fit for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be more than “just a number” in a larger organisation.

🎯 The role

  • Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for new projects
  • Manage costs on live schemes to ensure profitability
  • Carry out valuations, variations & final accounts
  • Build relationships with clients, subcontractors & suppliers
  • Provide commercial & cost advice to senior management

👷 You

  • Experience in both estimating and quantity surveying (or a strong desire to do both)
  • Background in general contracting (residential, commercial or mixed-use)
  • Strong commercial awareness and an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships
