A leading regional contractor is looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a residential development in Exeter. The scheme forms part of a wider portfolio of affordable housing, shared ownership and residential developments delivered across the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to progress into Site Management while gaining exposure to a well-structured residential delivery environment.
You will work closely with an experienced Site Manager, assisting with programme management, subcontractor coordination, quality inspections and health and safety compliance.
Role OverviewYou will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of a residential development
- Supporting subcontractor coordination and supervision
- Conducting quality inspections and snagging
- Monitoring health and safety compliance
- Assisting with programme management
- Managing site records and documentation
- Coordinating deliveries and logistics
- Supporting customer care and handover activities
- Assisting with NHBC inspections
- Reporting progress to senior site management
- Ensuring works are completed to programme and specification
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Finishing Foreman is preferred. Understanding of NHBC standards, strong organisational skills, good communication and leadership ability, knowledge of health and safety legislation, CSCS Card, SMSTS or SSSTS preferred, First Aid qualification advantageous, and being ambitious and keen to progress within site management.
