An excellent opportunity has arisen for an MEP Revit Technician to join a growing specialist design business based in Cardiff. You'll become part of an expanding team working across a varied portfolio of projects, producing and developing detailed Revit models and drawings for mechanical, electrical and public health services.

This would particularly suit someone who already has a good foundation in Autodesk Revit and an understanding of building services but wants an environment where they can continue developing their technical capabilities. You'll receive full in-house training and ongoing support, allowing you to build on your existing experience while gaining exposure to different projects, systems and construction methods.

The position is office based from newly refurbished offices close to Newport Road in Cardiff.

Role Overview

As MEP Revit Technician, you'll work closely with the wider design team to produce accurate, coordinated Revit models and technical drawings across a variety of live projects. You'll be involved in modelling mechanical and electrical services, understanding how different systems interact and ensuring information is accurately represented within the wider building design.

Because you'll be working across several projects, you'll need to be comfortable moving between different priorities and adapting your approach depending on the requirements of each scheme. At times you'll be working towards tight project deadlines, so organisation and attention to detail will be particularly important.

You'll work collaboratively with colleagues rather than simply being given drawings to produce independently. As your experience develops, you'll be encouraged to broaden your understanding of MEP design, construction and installation methods and progressively take greater ownership of your work.

About You

You are already confident using Autodesk Revit and ideally have experience applying it within an MEP or building services environment. You'll have a good understanding of mechanical and electrical services and, importantly, some appreciation of how those systems are actually installed within a building.

You don't necessarily need to be the finished article, as training and support will be available, but you'll need the technical foundations to develop from. You're organised, accurate and comfortable managing several pieces of work simultaneously. You'll be able to maintain a high standard when deadlines become demanding and communicate effectively with the wider team when priorities change.

Above all, you're someone who wants to learn. You'll bring a positive attitude, take pride in producing accurate work and be interested in developing your Revit and MEP capabilities over the longer term.

Company Profile

You'll be joining a growing specialist design business providing technical drawing, modelling and coordination services across a varied portfolio of construction projects. The company is continuing to expand its Cardiff operation and has invested in both its working environment and its people, with in-house training forming an important part of how the team develops.

This is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage of that growth while working alongside experienced colleagues who can help you progress technically and professionally.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive salary + package
  • Full in-house Revit and technical training
  • Ongoing career development and progression
  • Exposure to a varied portfolio of MEP projects
  • Join a growing and supportive technical team
  • Newly refurbished Cardiff office
  • Office location just off Newport Road
