An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a specialist contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre development in West London.

This is a technically demanding project involving two new data centres, an office building, substation infrastructure, extensive utility diversions, remediation works and complex construction sequencing. You will take ownership of the day-to-day engineering delivery of allocated packages, working closely with construction, design and quality teams to ensure works progress safely, efficiently and in line with approved information.

It is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking responsibility on site, solving technical challenges and contributing to the successful delivery of a high-profile scheme.

Role Overview

You will provide technical leadership across allocated construction packages, supporting site teams with the information, coordination and engineering input required to maintain productivity. The role will involve managing technical queries, coordinating temporary works and design interfaces, monitoring engineering progress and ensuring inspection and testing requirements are completed correctly. You will also help identify engineering constraints ahead of construction, support workface planning and ensure accurate project records are maintained throughout delivery.

A key focus will be on achieving first-time quality, reducing defects and rework, and ensuring completed packages are supported by clear and accurate handover information.

About You

You will have experience delivering engineering activities on major construction or infrastructure projects, together with a strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and technical coordination. You should be comfortable managing RFIs, engineering records, inspections and technical issues in a live project environment. Previous exposure to temporary works is important, while data centre experience would be particularly advantageous. A degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required, alongside a CSCS Manager Card. Candidates working towards Chartered Engineer status are encouraged to apply.

What’s in it for you?

The role offers a salary of £68,000 – £75,000 alongside a comprehensive benefits package including a car allowance, competitive pension, electric vehicle scheme, private healthcare and cash plan, eyecare vouchers and a cycle-to-work scheme. You will also receive 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays and an additional day off for your birthday, together with genuine opportunities for progression on major technical projects.
